FORL/KPWCA Clean-Up

FORL is teaming up with the KPW Civic Association for a clean-up in and around Rabbit Branch Park on Monday, November 2nd from 9-11 AM. This is a school holiday so it's a great activity where students can earn service hours.

Rabbit Branch feeds into Royal Lake so it's important to get the trash out of the water and streambed before it makes its way into the lake! The park is located very close to George Mason University, located at 4803 Tapestry Drive. Sadly, many individuals living in the townhouses on Tapestry just dump their trash (car, household) and contractor debris into the park.

There are also some areas that need some TLC, like branch trimming and sidewalk clearing, especially with winter weather on the horizon.

Please come prepared for the weather, with long sleeves and pants, sturdy waterproof shoes and any kind of bags for collecting the trash!
