About the Event
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!!!! Invasive Management site leaders Greg Sykes and Suzanne Doherty will lead a workday on Saturday, September 27 from 9-11AM to prune vegetation along the Royal Lake parks’ trails. This volunteer event will also involve learning about invasive species and appropriate ways to manage their spread in our forests and public spaces. We will meet at 5344 Gainsborough Drive. Workdays to remove invasive plants from the parks and woodlands and to restore native plants in these areas. The IMA program involves volunteer site leaders who organize workdays during which other volunteers (including students seeking community service hours) help in this effort.
